CaRD20 is a set of utilities for creating and distributing indie card games. currently the only publicly available portion of the set is this printer.
for now this is just a work in progress testing demonstration of some of the capabilities, but in the future you will be able to download and distribute it along with your own card based games to replace the typical .PDF files a lot of card based physical games are distributed with. this makes in browser printing and easy size accurate printing much easier.

HTML 5 documents are (unlike PDFs), dynamic, and use real world measurements. this means that users don't have to run as many, if any, test prints of your game to get the right sizing. and they can print the exact set of cards they want, so you don't have to print an entire pages worth of cards you aren't interested in just to get a replacement card for example. this means less wasted paper and ink for the player, and an easier method of distribution for the dev.

this tool is for indie devs who want to easily release their physical game, larger devs who want to open their game up to more players, preservationists who want to keep an old game alive, and players who cant afford to fall into the skinner box of card packs and meta decks. i want to show the world the beauty of card games, and offer up a new solution to distribution that wasn't made by simple profiteers who put portraits of athletes on card stock.

for the best results, use heavy card stock (i use 100lb card stock), your printers higher quality settings, a decent paper cutter, and sleeve the cards if desired (your local game story should carry those!)
